When planning a furniture shopping spree in Foshan, you might be wondering whether it's better to fly into Guangzhou or Hong Kong. In many cases, arriving in Hong Kong can be more convenient. From Hong Kong, there are multiple routes to get to Foshan, but we’ve highlighted the best ones depending on whether you're arriving at Hong Kong Airport or already staying in Hong Kong City.

From Hong Kong Airport to Foshan
Arriving at Hong Kong International Airport and heading straight to Foshan? Here are the most convenient ways to get there:

By Bus (Recommended for Budget)
Time: 3 hours | Cost: HKD 250 (bus) + HKD 100 (taxi to hotel)
The direct bus is often the most convenient and budget-friendly option. It takes about 3 hours including the border crossing. You'll board at the airport after collecting your baggage and disembark briefly at the Hong Kong-China border for immigration checks before continuing directly to Foshan. If you're staying in Lecong, buses to Hotel Fortuna run four times a day, and it'll be a quick taxi ride from there. Buses also run to multiple locations in Foshan (Crowne Plaza is the second closest drop-off to Lecong!), with departures almost every hour. Check the schedule online or at the airport bus counter for the most up-to-date timings.

By Ferry (Recommended for Scenic Views & Smooth Border Crossing)
Time: 2 hours | Cost: HKD 350 (ferry) + HKD 200 (taxi to hotel)
For a more scenic route and a smoother border crossing (only one immigration check upon arrival in mainland China), consider the ferry. The ferry from Hong Kong Airport to NanSha Port takes about two hours and you can take a 45 minute taxi from the port to your hotel.

By Taxi (Recommended for Groups & Luggage)
Time: 2 hours | Cost: HKD 1400
If you're traveling in a group or have a lot of luggage, a private taxi might be the best option. It offers door-to-door service and is the most comfortable way to travel. We can arrange for a driver to meet you at Hong Kong Airport and take you directly to your hotel in Foshan.
From Hong Kong Island to Foshan
If you're already in Hong Kong, several options are available but we recommend these two:

By Bus (Recommended for Budget)
Time: 3 hours | Cost: HKD 200 (bus)
The direct bus is a budget-friendly and convenient choice. Buses depart regularly from various locations in Hong Kong city and drop you to various locations in Foshan. Check the schedule online for the most up-to-date timings.

By High-Speed Train (Recommended for Speed)
Time: 2 hours | Cost: HKD 250 (train) + HKD 100 (taxi to hotel)
The high-speed train is the fastest way to get to Foshan. Take the train from Hong Kong West Kowloon Station to Guangzhou South Station. From there, you'll need a taxi to Foshan, which takes about another hour. While it requires a taxi ride at the end, it significantly reduces overall travel time.
